Programme details

Air Quality was accepted in 1994 and a protocol have been elaborated on using bioindicators:

  • Estimation air quality by bioindicators: Fir trees as bioindicators of forest damage
  • Estimation air quality by bioindicators: Lichen, types of species and percent coverage.

The protocols is modified in Learners' Guide 2: Working for a better Air Quality in the Baltic Region. The book was presented in the beginning of 1998.

The Air Quality program can be used by all schools the school does not have to be situated on the border of the Baltic Sea.
